Madison, Senior

Madison is now a senior at Brownsburg High School. This is her second time in the yearbook course, and she is thrilled to be a part of the staff again. She is now one of the editors of the yearbook. Madison is always keeping herself busy with family, friends, school, and work. She has three younger sisters and two dogs at home. Her enormous family is constantly staying connected by doing fun activities on the weekends together, swimming and cooking out being two of the main ones. Also, she works at a local gymnastics gym teaching younger children. Madison is also part of the varsity cheer squad and varsity competition squad at BHS. She has been part of this team for all four years of high school. She loves traveling to all sorts of different places in and out of the country. She has visited almost every state and three different countries. In her free time, Madison watches movies of all genres and also listens to all types of music. She is a fun and outgoing person who is ready to work to make another amazing yearbook for this upcoming school year.

Taylor, Sophomore

Taylor is a sophomore and it is her second year on staff. She has two dogs and four guinea pigs. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her friends, listening to music, playing tennis, hiking, and playing other sports. She plays doubles for the high school team. She is also in Key Club. Her favorite colors are blue and yellow. Her favorite sports teams are the Colts, Bears, and the White Sox. Her favorite movie is The Fault in our Stars. Her favorite shows are Modern Family and Psych. Her favorite foods are waffles and watermelon. Her favorite holiday is Christmas because she loves all the lights and other decorations. Her favorite season is spring. Her favorite school subject is social studies. Her favorite books are the Divergent series. She joined yearbook because she thought it would be a fun experience in high school. Once she graduates from high school, she plans on attending Hanover College or Indiana University. She wants to become a chemist or a teacher.

Pixie, Senior
External Affairs Editor
Pixie Rowley is currently a junior at Brownsburg High School. She is returning to staff for her second year as a minor editor and external business affairs director. She is sixteen and is very involved in her academic studies. She has two brothers, Ollie and Jasper, and one sister, Piper. Her current interests include walking after school and watching the Detroit Tigers and Indianapolis Colts with her family. She was born in Jackson, Michigan. She has lived in Brownsburg for eleven years but continues to go to Michigan frequently. She is most excited to see how new ideas from different people influence the yearbook. She is most concerned about maintaining her grades with her tougher classes.

Dayja, Senior Photography/ Social Media Coverage
Dayja is returning to the yearbook staff as a senior this will be her 3rd year on staff. She was really glad to become a part of the yearbook team her sophomore year. Dayja has confessed that it has been a wonderful experience for her and has enjoyed every bit and hopes to have many more. For her yearbook has been a learning experience and really wants to get a lot more memorable experiences out of being part of the yearbook staff. On her free time she enjoys playing video games, writing mini stores and also a huge movie fanatic. Dayja has 7 nieces. She enjoys spending time with them on the weekends when she is not caught up in playing video games or watching movies.

Grace, Senior

Grace is currently a senior at Brownsburg High school and is new to the BHS yearbook staff. Grace chose to be a part of the yearbook staff because she enjoys photography and digital design. Grace lives with her one biological sister, her step sister, and her step brother, along with her mother and step dad. She was born in Peru, Indiana and then moved to Westfield. After spending a few years there, they then moved to Brownsburg. Grace spends most of her free time hanging out with her friends, family and her boyfriend. Often times they go to the mall or to the movies. When she isn’t shopping or at the movies, she is baking, listening to music, or playing with her new puppy, Maggie. Grace’s Birthday is December 18th and she is currently 17 years old. After high school she is planning to attend college to become a Nurse Anesthetist.

Brooke, Sophomore Staff Member
Brooke is a returning “veteran” to the yearbook staff. She is looking forward to the new yearbook staff and taking photos again this year. She is a bubbly person and loves to talk to EVERYONE. She has a tad bit of a hillbilly side. She came to Indiana from a little small town in southern Oklahoma. She has her own personal “zoo,” with over 200 cows, 10 sheep, 8 chickens, 5 horses, 2 dogs and 3 cats. Her favorite pet would be bulldog, Daisy, who she spoils like crazy. So as you can tell, she has a great love for animals which influenced her decision to become a veterinarian. She wants to go Oklahoma State University for vet med. She wants to go to Oklahoma State because it is the college where her entire family attended and she would love to keep the tradition going. She plans on trying for either an academic scholarship or one for softball. Softball is her passion. She plays for a travel team from Speedway, Indiana and has played every year for school ball up until last year. This summer, she got the opportunity to go to Panama City Beach, Florida for the USFA World Series for the second summer in a row! She is excited about getting to be on yearbook and looks forward to another great year!

Cailyn, Senior

Cailyn Dickerson is from Missouri. She’ll be seventeen on August 31st. She loves animals. Her favorite animals are horses. They are her life. She can’t wait to move back to Missouri and get more of them. Her favorite color is blue. She has a little sister named Hailey. She looks exactly like Cailyn, even everyone in her family mixes up their baby pictures because they look so alike. She moved to Indiana when she was in second grade, and attended Danville up until she was in fifth grade, which she then moved to Brownsburg. She has two dogs, and two cats. She has a bit of a redneck side to her. Her and her friends go wheelin and mudding almost every weekend with her boyfriend and his friends and then just hang out and have bonfires after. She hopes to be a psychologist when she grows up. She isn’t sure where she wants to attend college but she’s going to move back home to Missouri and attend somewhere there. She’s always with her family, friends, or boyfriend. She joined year book because she loves being involved in things and taking pictures and she loved it last year so she decided to join again for her senior year!

Kelsey, Senior

Kelsey Reinhardt is a senior at Brownsburg High School. This her first time on yearbook staff. She is really looking forward to a fun year in yearbook. Kelsey is a catcher for the starting varsity softball team. Last season Kelsey was on the team that won Sectionals for the first time in nine years. Kelsey is going to continue her softball career at Indiana Tech in the fall of 2015. She is really excited as to playing softball in college is one of her biggest dreams that have come true. She plans on studying accounting at that college. Kelsey has previously been in a Photography class this past year. She has a younger sister, Kristin, who is a junior. She has three dogs. Their names are Clifford, Rocko, and Gracie. Kelsey’s favorite T.V. shows are The Fosters, Under the Dome, and Duck Dynasty. She really loves cookie dough. Her favorite subject in school is math. She enjoys hanging out with her friends. Her favorite movie is The Fault in Our Stars. Her favorite food is taco pizza. Her favorite place that she has gone on for vacation is California as she has went there this past summer with her family. Her favorite quote is, “Life was throwing curve balls at me left and right, but then God gave me a bat and showed me how to swing." Kelsey really loves her dad as he has helped out with softball and school a lot.

Presley, Junior

Presley England is junior that has never been on the yearbook staff and so this year she is very excited. She likes taking pictures and is very curious as to how the yearbook is put together and how much hard work the staff members put into making the yearbook as awesome as students and teachers say it is. In her spare time she likes to hang out with friends, watch random YouTube videos, and skip to the good parts in movies. Her favorite sport is softball since she has been playing it since she was 7 or 8, she can’t remember. She has been playing recreational softball right across from her high school for 9 or 10 years and school ball for 5 years. Presley lives at home with her mom, dad, sister, 2 cats, 2 dogs, and 2 sugar gliders. She has blue-ish, green-ish eyes. She is medium height but in 6th grade she was taller than everyone else and stood out like a sore thumb. Currently her hair is brown but she likes to have cool hair and has dyed it pink, purple, and blue before. Her favorite holiday is New Year’s Eve because she loves to be around people and have fun. Also she loves New Year’s because it’s the start of a new year and a new you. She looks up to her dad because he is an all-around person, he’s hardworking, very goofy, and is very talented at many things. What she wants to be when she is older is, right now, a dental hygienist and that could change. But her dreams are to be in Hollywood somewhere on a stage and performing for a crowd. Amanda, Junior Staff Member
Amanda Carman is a junior at BHS. She is new to the yearbook staff but already has some background to make her successful in the class. She enjoyed taking pictures in her photography class last year and wanted to do something more with the skills she acquired. Not only is Amanda aware with how to work a camera, she also attends every basketball and football game. She hadn’t missed either of them her freshman or sophomore year. She plans to keep the tradition going this year. She loves to support our bulldogs and does it with an enthusiastic spirit. This gives her great potential to contribute many pictures into our yearbook this year. Amanda is excited to be one of the few to create the book that everyone wants and remembers. When she isn’t at a football or basketball game you can find her hanging out with her friends or working. Other than that Amanda’s life is just filled with homework. She works hard in school in order to hopefully receive a scholarship to attend Ballstate University. Her goal is to get her master’s degree in the field of physiology or sociology. She is very interested in the way people work and helping people. Since she has this passion to help people she also has an interest in medicine. Amanda has been a type one diabetic since she was five. She is very good about managing it though sometimes this can be hard for a teenager. This has given her a strong responsibility trait. Overall, Amanda is a caring person and when you get around her you can’t help but laugh. She is very eager for yearbook this year.

Hanna, Sophomore Staff Member
Hanna Ponti is a sophomore starting her first year of yearbook. Hanna enjoys playing soccer, listening to music, watching Netflix, and hanging out with her friends. Hanna is looking forward to Friday night football games. She likes reading The Fault in Our Stars and Divergent. Her favorite foods are anything Italian, tacos, and desserts. She loves watching her brother and sister's events that they participate in. Hanna's favorite summer moment was when her and her family went to New York City, Hershey Park, and Gettysburg. This is Hanna's second year playing soccer on the high school team. She is excited for the upcoming season. Hanna's favorite part of school is yearbook. After school, she plans to go to a college in Indiana. Hanna would love to go to Purdue or IUPUI. She wants to study/major in law enforcement or criminal justice. Hanna is excited for to be part of the yearbook team this year!

Laura, Sophomore Staff Memeber
Sophomore Laura Sanders is a new staff member on the Tempo staff. Along with yearbook she enjoys many other diverse activities. She takes part in Bel Canto, runs cross country, and plays soccer. In school her favorite classes are Spanish, English, and math. When she’s not at various after extracurricular activities or in school she can be found walking her dog, Brownie or reading a book. Her favorite book is Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, but her movie taste greatly varies from her literature preferences. The number one movie on her list is Captain America: The First Avenger. She has two older siblings who have both graduated. When she graduates, she hopes to attend North Carolina State to study kinesiology and nutrition. Laura loves to travel and plans on studying abroad in Europe. Lately Laura has travelled to Ontario, Canada and Disney World, Florida. Although Laura has plans to get a real job, she really just wants to run away to Florida and work as a Disney World Princess brining joy and magic to all those who visit the park.

Emily, Freshman Staff Member
New to BHS and new to the Tempo staff Emily Bryan is jumping into the waters of high school feet first. Although she is fresh face in this year’s staff, she was a veteran on the yearbook staff at BWMS for three years and for her seventh and eighth grade year she was the Editor. In her free time she enjoys playing softball, listening to music, and hanging out with her friends. Her favorite movies are The Purge and The Purge Anarchy. She has one brother, one sister, one nephew, and one dog. She has been to many different places and enjoys traveling with friends and family. Emily has lived in Brownsburg her whole life and is proud to be a bulldog. Her favorite colors are lime green, purple, bright orange, and hot pink.

Karsyn, Sophomore Staff Member
Karsyn Hopper is a new sophomore this year at BHS. She moved here from Homestead High School in Fort Wayne shortly after school started. She is well equipped for being on the yearbook staff because she was in journalism, the yearbook prerequisite, at her old school. Karsyn spends her time after school swimming on both the Brownsburg High School swim team and the Brownsburg club team. Karsyn has four younger brothers, one older brother, and an assortment of pets. She was born in Montana, and has lived in five different states throughout her life. Karsyn hopes that in the future she will be able to travel around the world and experience other cultures.
