Attention Parents of BHS Seniors,
The 2014 Tempo Yearbook is selling senior “Congratulations” ads. These ads offer the opportunity for senior parents to publicly acknowledge their students’ many accomplishments. If you would like to purchase a spot for your senior’s high school legacy to be featured, please fill out the form below and return with a check made out to Brownsburg High School. Forms are to be returned to Sarah O’Keefe, yearbook adviser.

How to prepare photos:
NOTE: If you are printing your pictures off a computer, please print them on glossy photo paper rather than regular printer paper.
Cropping: We normally try to crop the photo so that your child’s face is the center of the photo. In order to help us out and to get what you want, we ask you to indicate on the photo where you would like the crop marks to be. One good way to do this is to use post-it notes. Place the post-it notes over the part of the photo you do not want printed.
Originals vs. Copies: All photos must be on photo paper. You must use your original print or have a print made which is printed on glossy photo paper. Target, Wal-greens and many other retailers have machines that will print your pictures on glossy photo paper. This is very important, as photos that are submitted on regular paper will not scan as well and quality will be diminished.
Returning Photos: We will return all photos during the spring semester, in April or May. We cannot return the photos any earlier. Photos will be distributed to seniors through their teachers at this point.
FAQs about Senior Ads:
May I submit my ad or photos electronically?
Absolutely. In fact, this is the best way to do it! When ordering your yearbook online at yearbookordercenter.com, using the code 40408, there will be a choice to purchase your senior ad at the same time. However, we realize that some parents may not be able to purchase them both at the same time. Submitting paper copies is also acceptable, using this form, and you may still submit your pictures electronically. All electronic files must be sent in PNG or JPEG form. Please do not send images on Microsoft Word or PDF files, because they are extremely hard to convert to the right format and they always end up having a poor print quality. You may email your photos to Sam Martin, the External Affairs Editor for the yearbook, at Tempoyearbook@brownsburg.k12.in.us.
Do you require permission from professional photographers in order to use senior photos?
Yes. It would be a copyright violation for us to print any photo taken by an outside source without their permission. Most senior portrait photographers have a form letter that they can fax to the school in order to cover this.
Who designs the ads?
Sam Martin, the External Affairs Editor for the yearbook, will be designing the advertisements. You may contact Sam at Tempoyearbook@brownsburg.k12.in.us with any questions or concerns regarding your senior ad.
Why is there a discount for ads submitted early?
Receiving senior ads early allows the business managers to work on ads as they come in instead of receiving several ads all at once. In short, this is a “thank you” for not waiting until the due date to turn in the ad paperwork.
